Private Day To The Tulip Field On The Flower Road
Every Spring the fields just outside Amsterdam turn from sandy patches into carpets of lime green sprouts as the first signs of spring emerge. By the time the season is in full swing, the area is swathed in red, pink, purple, orange and yellow blooms.
After a short ride from Amsterdam to Haarlem, for the fist stop, is'the northernmost point of the 'Bloemen Route (Flower Route) and running approximately 40 kilometers south to Leiden, this drive takes in the densest concentration of flower fields, with alternating strips of flowers shooting in thick ribbons of primary colors to the flat Dutch horizon. We continue to Lisse and Leiden before to take the way back'into the fields''to'Naaldwijk, where you can see what a muscular commercial force all those flowers have become, and how important they are to the Dutch economy.
